cockroachdb subscription

Hi, I received a notification saying that my free trial has ended and my cluster has been paused. I wanted to ask what I should do next.

Do I need to purchase a subscription or additional credits to continue using the cluster for the hackathon? I’m a student, and unfortunately, I don’t have a large budget to spend on credits.

Is there any option for students or hackathon participants to receive free credits, an extension, or another way to continue using the service without paying for a subscription?

I would really appreciate any guidance or support you can provide. Thank you!

  Hello, We have asked the Cockroach team and they suggest that the best way around this is to add a credit/debit card to the account and remain on a Basic tier cluster, keeping within the Free Tier (https://www.cockroachlabs.com/pricing). That way, they won't be charged for anything.
